Carey Nieuwhof is a thoughtful Christian pastor. I bookmark his items occasionally, including this one from a while back: “Why All Future Leaders Will Be Great Conversationalists.”
It’s obviously geared for pastors, but interestingly enough, his illustration is a car salesman–a decent comparison given my automotive clients!
If customers coming in the door … employees showing up for work … and now even the AI you chat with on your computer … have knowledge, what do you have, Mr. or Ms. Leader?
We have talked about dialectic many times in this blog. It is key to any training. It is key to success in our distracted, busy, postmodern world. If it involves any narrative, it does almost metaphysical things to your heart rate.
Maybe AI will do all of that at some point. But I doubt it. We still need leaders. Good luck stepping up.
